• Neumann takes on Ricci in battle for Am Gen II crown
• Pro-Am (Beaubelique) and Am Gen I (Debard) both settled with a round to spare

The inaugural GT3 Revival Series season concludes this weekend with a pair of races set to decide the remaining title battle at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. It forms part of a packed event at the Spanish venue, which is headlined by the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup and also includes Lamborghini Super Trofeo and McLaren Trophy Europe.
The finale comes five weeks after the previous encounter at the Nürburgring, where Jean-Luc Beaubelique (Storic and Race Cars) secured the Pro-Am crown by taking his Ferrari 458 to a runner-up finish in Race 2. The Am Gen I title is also settled in favour of Ford GT driver Eric Debard (Debard Automobiles by Racetivity), but there is still everything to play for in Am Gen II, where Heiko Neumann (Team Motopark) will take his Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG into battle against the Ferrari 458 of Benjamin Ricci (Storic and Race Cars).
AM GEN II ON A KNIFE-EDGE
From the season-opening event at Circuit Paul Ricard, the biggest entry has always been in the Am Gen II class, which features either one or two Bronze-rated drivers in cars homologated between 2010 and 2013.
This weekend it will be the main focus of attention as two drivers compete to be crowned champion. Heikko Neumann tops the table with 120 points having scored a breakthrough win last time out at the Nürburgring. The German took advantage of Benjamin Ricci missing the event, establishing a nine-point advantage over the Storic and Race Cars driver.
Ricci swept the opening round at Circuit Paul Ricard and won again at Le Mans Classic Legend aboard his Ferrari 458. Though behind in the standings, his previous form makes him the narrow favourite to clinch the crown. Should he do so, it will cap a perfect year for Storic and Race Cars.
A further 11 Am Gen II cars will compete this weekend. The Porsche 997 GT3 R will be run by three crews, two from Lionspeed GP and another from Kiwi squad Marketing South. Marcus von Oeynhausen (Classic & Speed) will take the wheel of a BMW Z4, while the Aston Martin V12 Vantage will be driven by Franz Wunderlich and Pascal Huteau (Fanta Racing Legend by Code Classic) and by Dr Afschin Fatemi (Britec Motorsports).
Mario Cordoni takes the wheel of a Ferrari 458 GT3 Evo run by SRO Race Center, while Anderson Racing Team's Marcus Anderson will pilot a Lamborghini Gallardo LP600. There will also be a trio of Audi R8s to watch out for. These will be driven by series regulars Daniel Desbrueres (Saintéloc Racing) and Jeff Smith (Pyro Motorsport), and by newcomers Harvey Stanley and Christoff Cowens who will share a car run by Pursuit Racing.
Having already secured the class title aboard his Ford GT, Eric Debard will run solo in the Am Gen I class, which covers cars homologated between 2006 and 2009. The Frenchman is also one of eight drivers eligible for the Iron Cup, which rewards the best-finishing crew with a combined age of 100 and over, or the best solo driver aged 60 and over.
NEW FACES JOIN PRO-AM
Though the Pro-Am title is already settled, there's still plenty to watch out for. Notably a new team joins the grid this weekend, with Ortelli Racing set to field an Audi R8 LMS for David Hallyday and Stéphane Ortelli.
An overall winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Spa, Ortelli became synonymous with the R8 during a long spell in the Blancpain GT Series, winning the Endurance Cup title in 2012. Indeed, the Monegasque is among the original legends of the GT3 era, and of sportscar racing in general.
Should he and Hallyday wish to secure a debut win they will need to defeat Jean-Luc Beaubelique and Jim Pla, who will aim to complete a truly stellar season in their Storic and Race Cars-run Ferrari 458. There is another very serious rival in Christoph von Oeynhausen (Classic & Speed), who swept both class wins at the Nürburgring in his BMW Z4.
There is a further Pro-Am entry from Quinntech Racing. The British squad will hope to capture a maiden series win with its ever-present pairing of Mark Cole and Alvaro Parente, who share an ex-Team WRT Audi R8.
TWO MORE RACES BRING THE CURTAIN DOWN ON 2026
The GT3 Revival Series will once again compete on the GT World Challenge Europe support package this weekend, as it did at Circuit Paul Ricard and the Nürburgring. The recently announced calendar for 2027 also features three SRO Motorsports Group events, as well as two Peter Auto meetings. Coincidentally, the opening round of next year takes place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as part of Espiritu de Montjuic (2–4 April).
This weekend’s event begins with 90 minutes of preparatory running on Friday, which is split evenly between Free Practice (11:45) and Pre-Qualifying (16:40). The grids for both races will be set on Saturday morning with Qualifying scheduled for 10:25. Race 1 takes place later that day at 15:30, with Race 2 completing the schedule at 10:10 on Sunday.
